Sold by Themwear: Archive

At Themwear, we believe that every garment carries a story that continues to evolve with its new owner. Founded in Los Angeles as a passion project, Themwear has since curated vintage fashion for nearly 10,000 individuals worldwide across all 50 U.S. States, all U.S. territories, and over 30 countries. From uncovering 1960s French couture to sourcing selvedge redline “Big E” Levi’s for a major biopic, our collection reflects the craftsmanship and history of each piece. Trained by their mother with over four decades of expertise in appraising some of the world’s most significant antiquities—including documents by Abraham Lincoln and works by Salvador Dalí—our founder brings the same meticulous care to curating vintage apparel and jewelry. Whether it’s a 1970s Halston gown or a 1920’s brooch, each piece we’ve sold carries with it a legacy of style, craftsmanship, and cultural significance.

Themwear’s ethos is built on the belief that fashion transcends binaries, reflecting both individuality and history. With clients ranging from six to ninety-five in age, we’ve styled over 1,700 private clients in the last two years alone. Our direct relationship with film and television production companies allows us to source garments for everything from period films to red carpet events, and many of our pieces have graced museum exhibitions, as well as appeared on screen. While our sold archive reflects the diversity of our past collections, from haute couture to vintage denim, it’s a small glimpse of the treasures that have shaped the legacy of Themwear.
